Privacy notice

Privacy, without
the fine-print feeling.

1. Who this notice covers

This Privacy Notice applies to the SwipeSwitcher macOS application, whether obtained from the Mac App Store or by direct download, and to this static SwipeSwitcher website (together, the “Services”). SwipeSwitcher is developed and operated by Logic Edge (“Logic Edge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This notice does not govern Apple, other apps on your Mac, or third-party websites and services, each of which has its own privacy practices.

The Services are intended for general audiences and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

2. Data practices: no app data collection

SwipeSwitcher does not collect personal data. The app has no user account, registration, cloud sync, backend service, advertising technology, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, telemetry, social integration, purchase profiling, or network capability. It does not transmit data from the app to us or to third parties.

Accordingly, we do not receive, retain, sell, rent, disclose, share, or use your identity, contact details, identifiers, location, usage history, diagnostics, browsing history, app content, window titles, screenshots, keyboard input, payment information, or any other information from the app. We do not track you across apps, websites, or devices; create profiles; use automated decision-making; or use data for advertising, marketing, or AI training.

The app does process limited information locally on your Mac as needed to provide its switcher: the currently running apps and visible windows, their names or titles where macOS makes them available, and the local preferences you choose. This processing is performed on-device only and is not data collection by us because it is never sent off your device.

3. Permissions and local processing

SwipeSwitcher requests only the macOS permissions relevant to the feature you choose. macOS controls these permissions; you may decline, revoke, or change them at any time in System Settings. Refusing a permission may limit the related feature, but does not cause the app to collect data.

Accessibility and input monitoring

Used to recognize the switching gesture and identify available apps or windows. The direct-download edition may also bring the window you select forward. Related input and window metadata are handled only to perform the requested switch and are not transmitted or retained by us.

Screen Recording (optional)

Requested only when you turn on app-window previews. It creates low-resolution, cursor-free previews of visible app windows for the switcher. Those previews can contain what is on your screen, so enable this feature only if you are comfortable with that local display.

Local preferences

Your display and switching choices are stored by macOS on your device so the app remembers them. They are not synced to us or to a third party.

We do not request access to contacts, calendars, reminders, photos, camera, microphone, location, Bluetooth, health information, Apple ID, messages, files, or your clipboard. SwipeSwitcher does not record or transmit keystroke content.

4. Retention, deletion, and security

Because the app does not send us data, we have no app-user database and no remote app data to retain or delete. Optional window previews are held only in the app’s memory while the preview feature is enabled. They are cleared when you turn that feature off or quit the app. Local preference values remain on your Mac until you change them, reset the app, or remove the app and its associated local data through macOS.

We use a data-minimization design: no remote storage, no account credentials, no server-side processing, and no third-party app SDKs. No method of local computing or distribution is completely risk-free, so you should keep macOS and the app current and use your own device-security controls. To the maximum extent permitted by law, this notice does not create a guarantee that unauthorized access can never occur.

5. Sharing, sale, tracking, and international transfers

We do not share personal data from the app because we do not receive it. There are no app data recipients, processors, advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, affiliates with access to app user data, or third-party SDK partners. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined by applicable privacy laws, and we do not use sensitive personal information for any purpose.

There are no app-related international transfers of personal data. If we are ever legally compelled to disclose information, any response would be limited to information actually in our possession; this design means we ordinarily have no app-user data to provide.

6. Your choices and privacy rights

You control optional permissions in macOS System Settings and can turn off window previews in SwipeSwitcher. You may withdraw permission at any time without being penalized, except that a feature requiring that permission may stop working. You can delete the local app data under your control by resetting or uninstalling the app through macOS.

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port personal data; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; and complain to a supervisory authority. As we do not collect app personal data, we generally cannot identify a record to access, correct, delete, or export. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising applicable privacy rights.

7. This website

This website is a static product site. It does not include account creation, forms, cookies set by us, analytics, advertising pixels, session replay, or social-media tracking. It does not intentionally collect information you enter or transmit information to us.

As with most websites, the provider you choose to host this site may automatically process technical request information—such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamp—in server or security logs to deliver and protect the site. Those practices are controlled by the chosen hosting provider and configuration, not by the SwipeSwitcher app. Before publishing, the operator should review its hosting provider’s data-processing terms and configure log retention and security consistently with this notice and applicable law.

Links to the Mac App Store, direct-download location, or any future external site take you to a third party. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those destinations.

9. Changes and how to contact us

We may update this notice to reflect changes to the Services, applicable law, or privacy practices. We will post the revised notice here and update the “Last updated” date. If a change materially alters app data practices, we will provide any notice or obtain any consent required by law before the change takes effect.
